Google Business Profile for Central Coast tradies

Be easy to choose on Google Maps.

When someone searches for your trade nearby, Google often shows a map and a few businesses before any websites. I set up and look after your Business Profile so customers can see what you do, where you work and how to reach you.

Included in ongoing marketing, from $250 + GST a week, alongside your website, search and Google Ads.

What I look after

Illustrations show example profile details.

  • The right category and services

Google matches your profile to what people search. I choose the most specific category for your main work, keep extra categories to the few that fit, and list your services in the words customers use.

  • Service areas, set up properly

If customers don’t come to you, Google asks you to hide your address and list the areas you cover instead. I set those up around where you actually want to work.

  • Photos and updates from real jobs

You send photos from your jobs. I add them to your profile and post updates when there’s real work worth showing.

  • A simple way to ask for reviews

I set up a link you can send to every customer once the job’s done, and help you reply to the reviews that come in. Google doesn’t allow asking only your happy customers, so we ask everyone.

  • Consistent contact details

Your business name, phone number, hours and website kept current, and matching what’s on your website.

Google decides which businesses appear and in what order, based on relevance, distance and prominence. Nobody can pay for a better map position or promise one. My job is to make your profile accurate, complete and convincing, then show you what people do after they find it.

“Nathan took the time to understand our business and the painting work we actually want more of. He helped improve our website, services and Google presence, while explaining everything clearly throughout the process. His experience running a trade business himself makes a real difference.”

How I look after your profile

  1. 1

    Check

First, I check your profile and business details.

  2. 2

    Set up

Then I set up or update the profile to reflect your business.

  3. 3

    Keep current

Ongoing, I keep the details current as your business changes.

What I need from you

I’ll need access to your existing profile, or your help setting one up, plus your services, service areas, opening hours and job photos. You may also need to complete Google’s verification.

What you’ll see each month

Each month I’ll show you the activity Google reports for your profile, such as taps on your call button and website link, alongside the enquiries we can track. Google counts a tap on Call, not whether the call became a job.

Part of ongoing marketing

Business Profile work is included in ongoing marketing, alongside your website, search and Google Ads where they make sense.

Straight answers

Can you get me into the top three on the map?

No one can promise a position. Google says there’s no way to request or pay for a better local ranking. What I can do is make your profile accurate, complete and convincing, keep it current, and show you what people do after they find it.

I don’t have a shopfront. Can I still have a profile?

Yes. Most tradies are what Google calls a service-area business: your address stays hidden and your profile lists the areas you cover instead.

Someone else set up my profile and I can’t get in.

That’s common. It’s often a past employee or an old web company. Google Business Profile was previously called Google My Business, so an older profile may sit under a login nobody remembers. Google has a process for getting access back, and I’ll help you through it.

Who owns the website and the accounts?

You do. The domain, website files, copy, photos, Business Profile, Analytics, Search Console and Google Ads account are set up in your own accounts from day one. If you leave, you keep everything.
